This function and wedding venue is ideal for the first half of the race. With two and three bedroom cottages as well as individual rooms, there are a wide variety of options. Saronsberg
Located in Tulbagh close to the first stage overnight stop, Saronsberg is a stylish and modern wine estate that offers a variety of one and two bedroom self-catering cottages. They are no stranger to big sporting events, having hosted overnights for the Absa Cape Epic.
Nelson Wine Estate:
Nelson Wine Estate is located 1km from the Berg river. A good location for Day 1 and 2 of the race. 12 Standard rooms and three luxury suites with a full braai open for all who stay in the accommodation as well as kitchen facilities available.
Alan Nelson (the owner of Nelson Wine Estate) knows the Berg River is one of the most grueling canoe races in the world having completed over a dozen himself.
